I attended Efra Road School in 1940 at the age of five, my memories of this time are happy ones. I am Now 79 and always think of the school when I am in the area, but I now live in Crawley. I left the school when bombs fell behind the school in Faraday Road which did a lot of damage to the school building, it was then closed and I wondered if the school would open again. I am pleased to see the old school building has survived and wonder what it is like inside now. The head mistress during my stay was a Miss Curtland and my form teacher was a lovely Scottish lady Miss Hay I believe. I often wonder where the other children in my class are now .
