I attended the school from 1934 to 1636. in the first year we had slates and chalk no pencil or paper I can remember two teachers a miss Mann and the head Mr Hughes I went back to see it and our old house in Middleton square and was surprised to see how

little it had changed How nice to see the old place still serving the community The square gardens are not as well kept as in my day and painting the houses white is not as classy as the brown and cream and I do miss the gas lamp posts.
