"A piece of history?"
A review of H Miles Ltd by Trevor Rickard - Wednesday 23rd of May 2007
I've just been looking over some of my grandad's memorabilia. He was a market gardener from east Cornwall who supplied flowers and soft fruit to many wholesale customers all over the country. I'm looking at a 1932 invoice book and there are many entries for W E Couch supplying H Miles at Covent Garden with boxes of daffodils via the Southern Railway. Prices are interesting - eg '8 boxes, each containing two-and-a-half dozen ex sp doubles - £2.14.10 paid'. Is this the same H Miles at Covent Garden today? If so, you must have been there for a very long time and have a very successful business history.
