"Luggage delayed but not lost"

Flying Recife-Lisbon-London with less than two hours at Lisbon to change planes, my luggage failed to turn up at Heathrow. Five or six other passengers who had travelled on the same two flights were in the same situation.

That was on a flight arriving at Heathrow at 10.45 a.m. About midnight the same night -- meaning about fourteen hours after my flight landed at Heathrow -- a car drove up at the address where I was staying in London and delivered my luggage. I was perfectly satisfied and now I am booked to travel, later this month, on the same two flights again..
