"WAIT FOREVER!"

The last night we stayed in London (June 2007), we had supper here. The food was fine -- once it came. At least on this particular night, the service was ludicrously slow. We waited for half an hour to give our order, and another forty-five minutes or more to get our meal. Then we had to wait to pay. Staff were apologetic, but we were not warned that service would be so slow. We should have eaten at our hotel -- the Windermere -- which had excellent food and service in its Pimlico Room -- only 15 minutes' walk away.
