The food was always good at Pulcinella in Old Compton Street. Unfortunately it was always very smoky. We looked forward to our first evening of non smoking food tonight.

Don’t get me wrong, the food was fine but I ended up with a large burn on my arm due to the over-cooking of my main course.

These things happen.

I was somewhat surprised therefore to be given a bill for not only our meal but the Limoncellos that I was given at the end of the meal whilst clutching the ice cubes I had requested to my arm.

I’m not a “sue at the drop of a hat type of girl” but this is not the sort of treatment I expect.

It almost makes me wish for the days of USA attitude to companies. “That’ll cost you $2 million”

Is a complementary coffee or a liqueur such a big deal?

I shall be back to Italian Graffiti in Wardour Street next week at high speed.
