"London Parties"

The second thing i noticed on the website was the caption. When i checked it out it was indeed advertising christmas parties. surely, this is not the image the organisation wishes to transmit. i know that dance is very integral to a number of components of afrikan culture and is retained in the diaspora. but surely this can't be that important to us as a group that it now becomes headline on a website.
At this juncture of our history other things such as economic development and education of the group must be a priority. i fail to see how parties are going to advance the group and create some independence. in my daily work as a town planner i never fail to see and marvel how other groups who have arrived later than us have advanced much beyond us. where is the leadership?
i work a lot with land development issues and our group, especially the caribbean members, have slipped phenomenally vis a vis their parents and grand parents. no other group has shown such characteristics.
