I am of the age when most things are forgotten as we get older. But recently I have been thinking about my life in the big smoke and how and what I was brought up on and how I enjoyed these things in my then youthful existance.
I can remember drinking sarsaparilla from a very young age and recently aquirred a bottle from a visitor to where I live now in the heart of the fens.
I remember drinking it both hot and cold and love this drink with a passion especially as I am not one for drinking any fluids if the truth be known. But this seems to take away the normal orange and lemon and other drinks that can become boring as this does have a very unusual taste that seems to baffle everyone. It tastes different everytime that you drink it. What wonder memories from someone getting older. Shame I can't buy it here in the fens, eh?
