I was an office boy in the West African Dept. of a Manchester trading house by the name of Coddington & Lamb, 35 Peter Street, Manchester and who acted as buying agents for A.G. Leventis.

The year would be 1939/1940. I was 14/15 years old.

Mrs. Leventis was the ultimate lady and whenever she returned to Accra her mink coat was placed in storage in Kendal Milne Manchester and that was something I attended to in the company of Mrs. A.G.

She always gave me the responsibility to pay and tip the taxi driver, with her money of course, but she made me feel a million dollars.

A lovely lady and an unforgettable one.

Mr. A.G. himself sent me out to Gold Coast (after the war) in 1946 to gain experience and I worked there until 1951/2.

Now in my 80's I have very happy memories of my time with A.G. Leventis in very many ways and shall always be grateful to A.G. himself for the wonderful opportunity and start he gave me..
