OK, there was no air-conditioner and no on-suite bathroom in the room I was in, but this is London, you do not get 'bargains' here, in fact one should be rather lucky to get accommodation in the middle of London, having booked a mere 3 days before arrival. The lack of an elevator may deter older folk, having to carry your luggage to your room yourselves, up many narrow staircases. The room however was clean, the bedding fresh and the communal shower and bathroom facilities spotless. I have stayed in numerous bed-and-breakfasts during visits to London and this venue is as good as budget b&b's get. It is a 2 block walk from Victoria station, I walked to Buckinghams Palace and ate breakfast and lunch around the corner, literally. I will easliy recommend it to friends..
