The olive lounge is the sister restaurant of the ever popular olive tree just around the corner. It's more discrete location makes it something you're unlikely to just walk past so you'll need to find it. Once found you'll be delighted you made the effort.
It's extremely tasteful, modern, warm and welcoming interior starts the dining experience off on exactly the right foot.
Service from "Magde" is a joy to experience coupled with a rock solid cheffing performance by "Gustavo" makes this an excellent evening out all round.
Menu choices are all relatively uncomplicated and unpretentious. The focus is on an decent choice of really good dishes. Ingredients are all fresh and prepared to perfection. The portions are more than generous and the prices are a absolute bargain all things considered.
The fillet steak was cooked beautifully, the veg was lovely and crisp and there is little room for desert I assure you. The biggest fillet I've seen this side of Cape Town!
This place is a gem in Southfields, excellent value for money and there is absolutely no down side. Find it and enjoy it before the place gets too busy and the prices go up!
