"A frequently overlooked Chinese food goldmine"
A review of Tai Wu by Thomas - Wednesday 30th of August 2006
I am a huge fan of Chinese and Asian cuisine, in my gap year i spent 5 months travelling around china, japan, beijing hong kong and thailand, I think I would, honestly, be lying, if i said I hands down preferred the meals I had there over say, salt and pepper chicken with special fried rice and peking duck from this lovely little resturant. My main praise, and preference over most other Chinese resturants particularly over those in Chinatown, (and also in China itself) is the dramatic reduction in oil and therefore greasiness in all the dishes; the service too is always highly praisworthy, very polite and attentive coupled with a genuine warmth frequently leading customers (myself included) deep in conversation well after closing time. I would love to write more in praise of this wonderful little gem, but I am waiting for my take away to be cooked and dont want my crispy fried beef cold.
