"Disappointment with Casio electronic dictionary EW-G 100"

I was more than satisfied with the electronic dictionary in respect of content and fast translation,and would recommend it for those needing a translation at the click of a button, however after the warranty had just expired the left hinge snapped probably because the spring was too tight. As I had not "overused" the dictionary,so I was surprised at this. Perhaps your later productions don't have this problem, but I am now loathe to buy another one in case this happens again; after all the dictionary is not exactly inexpensive. Has anybody else had similar experience?
