"Disasterous retirement lunch"

I took my team of ten out to lunch to celebrate the retirement of the postroom guy. They were busy but we had confirmed our booking for 1pm. The service was diabolical. Starters did not start coming out from the kitchen until we had been seated for nearly an hour. Then they arrived at table one at a time. Not all of the group had ordered a starter and then some of the main courses came out one at a time. Some people had finished eating their main course before all of the starters had arrived.
There were many and varied reasons given by the waiter for the poor service, one of them being that the chef was a perfectionist!
The food from my perspective was poor!
I left before most of the team, they had the cheek to add service charge on the bill and they overcharged.
