Interested to hear of recent members! My grandfather, Henry Baker, was caretaker at Springfield early in the 20th Century (Maybe earlier) and my mother and her sisters and brother used to watch out for the silver band to know if it was time to go down into church. The family continued to attend the church and my two brothers, Ron and Les Yirrell were members of the 38th up to the 1930's under Capt. Somerford. Sorry, by that time we had moved to Clapham and I was a member of the 153rd, at Clapham Congregational Church, a far less successful company. Incidentally, I am 83 and and living in Bexhill on Sea.

Derek Yirrell.
