I don't normally write a review, but this one is definately worth it! I was really impressed with Heathrow Cottages, including the friendliness of the owners. A real log fire ws burning in the open fireplace, there was a comfy sofa and plenty of reading materials in the reception/sitting area. My room was everything it said on the webpage description, including silk curtains and 700 count Egyptian cotton sheets on a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was a decent size, all tiled with underfloor heating and a floor to ceiling bevelled mirror on part of one wall. The shower was fantastic, lots of adjustments, plenty of volume and hot water!
Even though Heathrow Cottages is located quite close to the airport, it's not on a flight path, so there wasn't any disturbing noise from planes taking off or landing.
When I declined breakfast due to my early departure, I was offered a packed one!
I was given an early morning wake up call by a knock on my door, no nasty jolt from a ringing telephone or alarm going off.
Included in the price is transport to or from the airport - I chose to be taken to my Terminal - a pleasant short drive away.
I would certainly not hesitate to stay there again and am very happy to recommend it to all my travelling friends.
