Charles Clore House had been a home for elderly persons run by a large local charity. Due to soaring overheads, this charity scaled down and closed this home in 2005 approx.

The building was bought by Springfields and extensively refurbished and modernised with an entrance built at the front.

It is again an eldery persons retirement home between the grand Edwardian built Muswell Hill, and the fairly posh East Finchley..
