"Tales of fossdene school"
A review of Fossdene Primary School by R aldridge - Wednesday 2nd of July 2008
I stated fossdene school at around 1953 i went straight in to the infants, i cannot remember my first teachers name only that she called every body 'pet'i went to fossdene from 1953 to 1963 from infants to seniors. does any body remember mr lister he used to walk though the school smoking a pipe or mr langford the art teacher he always had a cigarette on when he took our class for art, and mr drake the dep head he was really funny. when i stated secondry school you spent the 1 and 2 year at fossdene sherrington road, and then year 3 4 5 victoryer way. when i went to fossdene we were never allowed up in to the very top of the school rumour had it that it was haunted. before i finsh do you remember the head teacher at the sherrington site i dont no why but hes nick name was flannel hes real name was mr menalafy i think thats the way its spellt.
