Very well-kept draught beer [London Pride is the house ale] with enough of a selection to satisfy most. Eminently drinkable, reasonably-priced wine by the glass is readily available. The un-advertised sandwiches are excellent, as is the house recipe for Bloody Mary.
This is a long-established, compact public house with little or no regard for modern gimmicks; no juke box, no games machine, no pool tables, no background music.
The small-but-beautifully-formed garden is a sun-trap at appropriate times of the year. The washrooms are clean with, as one might expect, highly polished brightwork.
The management is mature, experienced and possessed of a rare sense -of-humour.
