A review of Paine & Hunter Ltd by Dave Parton - Friday 4th of July 2008
I found Paine and Hunter when I was told by all the large chains that I could not have any of the frames I wanted as my presecription was too complex. I was initially wary about going in there as my child hood experiences of local small opticians had not been one of boredom, poor range and weeks waiting for glasses to arrive.
This is certainly NOT ture about Paine and Hunter. They not only had my chosen designer frames in stock - cheaper than the big chains as well, but went out of their way to find the best and cheapest solution for me. They even hand finished the lenses in their own lab to make them appear even thinner at no cost.
My wife now swears by them and we're now on first name terms.
You can find frames and all prices, from free to several hundred punds, with excellent friendly service and a fast turnaround. They even let dogs in!
