"Gloomy, empty, rude and dirty"

I lived in the area recently and decided to check it out. On the first occasion I thought it was closed since most of the doors were shut and no one was behind the bar! Eventually the grumpy manager arrived and acted like he would rather be anywhere else than serving me. Everything but the Guinness was disconnected so I had an overpriced Beck's and reclined in the musty corner to listen to out of date music. The bathrooms were appalling, which is strange since there was no one else in the bar to keep the manager busy. I gave it one more chance and it was remarkably sub-standard again. Another bar down the road then became my local and I never looked back. Serious work needed. .
