"Good eve before theatre in paladium"

I was just having my 30th marriage aniversary and my husband booked theatre tickets to see the 'sound of music'. because of the traffic we arrived a bit late to west end and we decided there will be no time for dinner, though i was really saving myself for a nice meal. But like last years experience showed it takes more than you think, when we went to see the 'chicago' and we had to skip the first part..because of the dinner. This saturday i was surprised that when there is 35 min left before the theatre we managed to have a dinner!! we just stoped in cafe fred to buy a take away, we explained that would love to sit down, but we have no time and the waitress said: ' if you will be late the dinner is on me'. well, we sat down, had a glass of wine, lasagne, scampi, and a desert with capucino!!! I couldn't believe, because the place was full, and we got the express service, my husband even tipped the staff which he normaly wouldn't do, and we arrived to the theatre in perfect timing with no rush.
