"Dropped lucky, very lucky"

We were silly enough to not book a table at our intended restaurant, an Indian, and when we arrived, it was full. We wandered past Il Borgo and thought we'd give it a shot.

What a lovely surprise

The restaurant is small and mazy but this only adds to the atmosphere, the scenes painted on the walls are brilliant too (emphasised by the genuine italian waiter)

Now to the food; The waiter did struggle to understand my (admittedly broad) Yorkshire accent so we had some initial difficulties. He provided bread, olives etc and set the scene. There were six of us and we had a range of dishes, Red snapper, homemeade ravioli, a steak, veal etc etc. Absolutely awesome

The house red, a merlot was a delight

The only slight complaint is that the goats cheese starters were a little salty and he didnt opffer us any fresh pepper. otherwise excellent 9/10

thanks chaps.

PS My aforementiond yorkshire tendencies were not happy with the £200+ bill but hey, thats London isn't it..
