The appointment system is sensible when you consider just how many people book in advance then just do not turn up for the appointment. This way you can always get seen by a doctor on the same day as requested and in an emergency you can ring in and get an appointment usually within hours. The time and consideration shown by all the doctors and ancillary staff is exceptional..
