"Hen night at No 5"
A review of No. 5 Restaurant & Bar by Suzi - Sunday 2nd of November 2008
A grop of nine of us of mixed ages went to No 5 for a meal and then down to the club. The meal was superb and the waiters very attentive. The food of particular note was the Carpaccio of beef, Crab starter, Black cod, Duck, Steak and chocolate dessert. We really enjoyed our meal and were treated to a complimentary glass of champagne. However, we went downstairs and entered a totally different world - the staff could learn a lot from the staff in the restaurant. We were moved around the nightclub 8 times - we didn't seem to fit the bill for them. Maybe we were too old - but our money obviously wasn't. It was raining when we were leaving. We were waiting for our limo to take us home and it was suggested we wait outside!!! Very welcoming. We probably won't be returning. We will find somewhere where middle aged people are made welcome.
