"Assolutamente incredibile"

It started off badly I must admit, we arrived fairly late on a Sunday afternoon, some 30 minutes after our official reservation time, but to be fair we'd been told to come "as late as possible"... they could have mentioned then that there was in fact a cut-off time. Being made to feel rather unwelcome and troublesome was not exactly endearing, and I did resent being made to feel guilty for existing as I was seated and prepared to spend a sizeable amount of money. However, from that point onwards the experience changed considerably. Service was impeccable and the food amazing, ingredients top-quality, flavours and textures well chosen and presented. Not a pretentious restaurant at all, in fact there is a comfortable and relaxed ambience about the place, which the waiting staff obviously create. They were perfect.
