Cleveland Row and Square


(SW1) Named after the Duchess of Cleveland, one of the many favourites of King Charles II. (Reference: Smith's Streets of London, p. 35) At No. 5, Cleveland Row, lived the wit Theodore Hook. George Selwyn died here in 1791. (Reference: Jesse's London, vol. I, p. 75)
