Greville Street


Hatton Garden. (EC1) Derives its name from Fulke Greville, Lord Brooke, the accomplished poet and courtier in the reigns of Elizabeth and James I, as well as the intimate friend of Sir Philip Sidney. Brooke House stood on the immediate site of Brooke Street and Greville Street. (Reference: Jesse's London, vol. III, p. 87)
