Guilford Street


Russell Square. (WC1) In this street is the Foundling Hospital, which was founded by Captain Coram, a merchant seaman. The Hospital contains some very interesting pictures by Hogarth, Sir Joshua Reynolds, Gainsborough, and others. (Reference: Jesse's London, vol. iii, p. 126)
