Knightsbridge Green
(SW1) This was formerly of greater extent than at the present time. It was the village green in reality, and its last Maypole was preserved up to 1800. At its east end a watch-house and pound stood until about 1835. (Davis's Memorials of Knightsbridge, p. 144) |
