Mitre Court

Hatton Garden, Holborn. (EC1) Derives its name from the residence of the Bishops of Ely, which once stood near here. Worked into the wall, as the sign of a public house, is a mitre sculptured in stone (with the date 1546) , which probably once decorated Ely Palace.
