Mornington Place

(NW1) Named from the Earl of Mornington, brother of the Duke of Wellington, and Governor-General of India. Here Tennyson lodged for a short time, and here he left behind him and nearly lost the original MS. of "In Memoriam." It was recovered by Coventry Patmore.
