Princes Gate


Kensington Road. (SW7) A terrace so called from the gate entrance to the Park opposite, named after a Prince of Wales and opened in 1848. It stands on the highest plot of ground between Hyde Park Corner and Windsor Castle. (Davis's Memorials of Knightsbridge, p. 163)
