If you like to eat big and spend bigger, you'll like Luciano. A lot. Its beau monde pedigree goes back over 50 years when the site was Madame Prunier's, a fish restaurant for those who wanted to be seen. Still a glamorous and grown-up affair, it is today owned, run and frequented by celebrities... Madonna, Robbie, Beckham - you may have heard of them. Marco Pierre White and Sir Rocco Forte are the legends behind this winning Italian, while the interior is by über-designer David Collins who's created a sophisticated 1940s ambience featuring retro mosaic floors in the entrance whisky bar and elegant leather chairs in the spacious dining room. From MPW expect generously-sized classics such as bestselling starter Cornish crab, and risotto alla Milanese. A lovely wine list has an Italian bias while offering fine New and Old World vintages.
