Small and family-run, Azou is one of the most inviting restaurants on Chiswick’s King Street. Marking it out most is the high-quality North African food offering fine flavours from Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria. Delicious dishes include the Tunisian delicacy, brik, which is a crisp pastry starter filled with potato, tuna and egg; and seven varieties of cous cous. To follow, why not try one of four main course specialities such as tagine romanne - chicken breast in a sweet/tangy pomegranate sauce garnished with almonds, raisins and onions. If you visit Azou after a hard day’s work, order a mint tea or a glass of wine and make your weary way to the large floor cushions where you can recline around low traditional tables lit by lanterns.
