"Has Victoria Coach Station's end arrived? "

In 2009 I had occasion to use Victoria Coach Station for the first time in over 50 years and I have to say it had not changed a great deal, however its surroundings and the traffic has, at the start of my journey I had to ask myself, who in their right mind sends coaches out into the London traffic at five in the evening? (It took 2 hours to reach London's outskirts) in fact Colchester to Dover took about 6hours in coach running hours.

I now believe that the time has come to split it up into 3 or 4 smaller stations located on the M25 to serve the different parts of the country, with a connecting ring of buses to link them up.

In this way it would, even with a bus link be quicker than all of the coaches transitting to and from the center of London, if located next to or near mainline or underground stations then passengers wanting to visit London would be catered for.

Journey times would be cut and traffic congestion in the city lightened to say nothing of being greener (Less fuel burnt).

To offset the cost the two parts of Victoria Coach Station could be sold off for development..
