"I had high hopes.."

Having read some great reviews, i thought this would be a lovely place to have a family dinner.

however.. i was very disappointed. After placing our drinks order they provided olives and bread with empty dishes to pour oil and balsaic vinegar (the waiter very rudely made a big deal when my partner put an olive stone in the empty dish exclaiming it was for the olive oil), we waited over half an hour and still we had no oil or balsamic vinegar which they are meant to pour for you (we ate the bread dry in the end!). Also the bottle of wine we ordered at the beginning of the night had failed to be opened, it was impossible to catch their attention as they failed to even look at our table. after an hour it was finally opened and introduced with no apology, so if you order wine.. bring your own corkscrew!

After we had finished the main course, our plates and glasses had been empty for about 25minutes. a waitress appeared, smiled, then walked off before i could get her attention. so we sat for another ten minutes with our empty plates.

overall I was not impressed and its very expensive for what it is. Other tables around us were complaining. A couple on the table next to us waited over an hour for their starter, only to be angrily told they only waited 25 minutes (which wasn't true as they arrived before us and we all had our starters before them).

the atmosphere was spoiled as there seemed to be no system, we had a different waitress each time someone came over (none of them had a clue what course we had just finished etc). in the background all the staff were arguing all night.

I do not recommend this restaurant.
