"A sad day for Eltham"

I can remember going into Boores over 70 years ago. It was a treasure house of all things art and stationary, They used to be in the Arcade, but moved to the larger and more prominent shop in the High Street.

I moved away from Eltham in the 1960's but still patronised it for several years afterwards when I came back to visit my parents. I've only just found out that it closed some years ago. What a shame. They don't make shops like that today..
