School life was full of learning, creativity, and fun. we learned how to develop our own photographs. It was such an exciting and unusual experience for a primary school, and it made learning feel special. We also took part in mental challenges and performed in wonderful plays, including Aladdin, East End–style productions, and even Spanish plays. Each teacher had their unique style of discipline and care towards all the pupils.

There were lots of activities at lunchtime too. The dinners were great and the afters were even greater, crusty edged jam tard and custard or lemon tart. I remember that a pupil who became a great boxer attended our school, I remember him being picked up to go training by his coach.

The playground was full of energy, with boys and girls, screaming, shouting, singing it was just lively. We played games like Hopscotch, Two balls, Ball in the Stocking, Kiss Chase, and Sticky Toffee, off ground touch and many more. Those were joyful times filled with laughter and friendship.

I still remember our school song, which has stayed with me all my life. Whitmore wasn’t just a school—it felt like a family. The name of the school will always remain in my heart..
