London During the 19th Century

The 19th century describes the period of time spanning from 1801 - 1900. During this period, London saw exponential changes that catapulted it to being completely dominant in terms of trade, finance and politics on the world's stage. As the century progressed, London saw four different monarchs sit on the throne but it was only really when Queen Victoria was crowned that things started to take off and London began to take the form that we can still see and appreciate today.
