Located on Chippenham Road, near the Paddington Recreation Grounds and not far from Maida Vale tube station, Khun Mae Thai is a hidden gem that has proved a hit with Maida Vale foodies, and the conservatory-style restaurant is always filled with locals-who-lunch and a convivial after-work crowd. Signature dishes include the Gai Phukao - chicken deep fried and served with Sambucca and a sweet and sour sauce; the Miang Som O - a spicy Thai pomelo salad with tamarind dressing; and the Hoy Shell Pad Cha - scallops stir-fried with herbs, chilli and peppers.
