Locanda Locatelli

About Locanda Locatelli

This is where telly chef and talent extraordinaire Giorgio Locatelli has hung out his shingle, and it is popular, packed and quite an experience. The bar vibrates with anticipation (nb drinks are pricy). The decor is sophisticated pseudo-lounge with swooping beige booths and soft lighting, and the effect is slightly pleasurably funky. The dining room is also very often decorated with Giorgio himself, a gregarious character who likes to meet and greet. Many beloved favourites of the Locatelli repertoire are here: rolled pork with herbs, duck cooked two ways with spelt and broccoli. Try baby spinch with smoked ricotta and Cabernet Sauvignon vinaigrette, and gnocchetti with goat cheese and summer truffles. The wines are top notch, the service will pamper you and the puds are truly a glimpse of the divine.

Locanda Locatelli was voted one of the Best Restaurants in London in the Observer Food Magazine’s 2006 Food Awards.
