"Greedy Alvis"

A review of Alvis & Co by Dom written on Tuesday 10th of February 2009

Whilst I found their book keeping adequate, they are expensive. If my experience is anything to go by, the fee you agree may soon escalate. Mine doubled very quickly and soon trebled. There is no consultation or warning about this or any hard paperwork to support why this should be. In the end what your accountant charges you is a trust issue and they hold all the cards. It's not easy or preferable to be constantly moving accountants, so my advice is to ask around and find someone you can trust to deliver what they promise at the price that they quote.
