A review of Cancer Research UK by Darlene - Thursday 25th of January 2007
Hi my name is Darlene. I have worked in one of your shops in Lewisham. It has opened my eyes to raising funds for charity or a cause. I thought all it was about was putting stuff on the shopfloor but it is hard work.Hard honest work. I met quite a few ladies and gentlemen. The shop manager at the time,Josephine was and inspiration to me. She has helped me to focus on the management side of the bussiness as well as the running of it. Staff, Jessica, Lily, Megan, Doreen, Lillian, Ola,Brenda.Brian,Elaine and David,and the rest of the staff, have all helped in my training and understanding of the shop and the clients. I have realised that a lot more work goes in the running of a charity shop. I would also like to thank you for the training I had received as well as the study oppertunity,through Derby Colleg. I have to mention the assessor,Fola, for her devotion to her students. I will definitely recommend this shop to all my friends.
