A review of Eurosport TV Channel by Maureen lee written on Saturday 6th of February 2010
Saturday 6th. Feb.
What a pity that the concept of a great programme was spoilt by the "arty-farty" background of waving flags making viewing of the highlights almost impossible. The outcome of on-track incidents was lost as the riders became lost in the distracting surrounds.
Bike racing does not receive the coverage given to other sports and as such Euro Sport coverage is very much appreciated by fans. So please present the racing in a clear format so that the skills of the riders, and not that of the art directors of the programme, can be fully appreciated.
We found the constant waving movement of the background very difficult to watch and I had to leave the room as it was making me feel queasy. I wondered how anyone which a propensity to epilespy would fare watching the production.
The production seems more akin to Avatar than to one in which the racing skills of bike racing star are the focus..
