I attended Dollis between 1958-1962 and I still have my report book. Our teachers -Ms. Doran,Ms. Stubbs,Ms. Garner and Mr.Thorpe were wonderful. We had a great football team,I played left half, and later went on to play for Orange Hill Grammar school,London University, clubs in England and U.S.A. where I now live.My greatest memories are of my classmates and if any read this Iwould love to hear from them.We had our school trip in Somerset staying at a hotel in Weston-super-Mare.I remember one lunchbreak kicking a football through an open staffroom window sending the staff's teacups all over the place, then asking for my ball to be returned.Do the children still get to play 'Pirates' on the P.E. equipment or learn country dancing?Back then there were no computers or cell phones,we had Hoola-hoops and played 'flicksies wih cigarette cards. We also listened in the clasroom to live radio broadcasts of the first astronauts taking off. These were great times..
