A review of Sterling Corporate Relocation by Mike Benson - Friday 16th of February 2007
I had previously seen Kirsty and Phil on the TV, which set my expectations. The service I received was slightly different, as it was part of a move with my company, but the result was the same.
They helped me find a place for myself and my family in the Hampstead area of London. The lady who showed us round was really helpful and knew the area very well, especially the local agents. We were moving back from New York after several years so it really helped to have someone do the research for us. We just had to fly over a few months in advance for a couple of days and everything was done. We had to find schools for the kids too which meant that this determined the area we would live in - they helped with that too.
We ended up moving a load of stuff from the States, which was handled by Sterling too. If I had of done it myself (which I am used to doing) I would have thrown everything in boxes. It was just so much easier having someone do it all for you. It's like they gift wrapped everything, helped us with a load of customs forms and did all the other bits. We just turned up on a flight the day they delivered everything to the new home. We are renting at the moment, but are going to buy soon as we sold our house when we moved to the States.
If there was one thing I would say, they provided a lot of information, which we didn't really use. I also noticed that the address has changed. They are now based in Northolt and their site is all the w's www.sterlingrelocation.com which has their new address on it.
I think that if I have to move again, I will definitely use a moving company, it probably saved my marriage!
