I have been a part of Alcoholic anonymous for many year and for the last approx 20 years, AA meetings have been held at St.Judes, St Pauls and we were welcomed and loved. Since the new pastor has been put in place, we have consistently been blamed for all that has gone wrong in the church and it was obvious from the beginning that we were not welcome and it was felt.

From being asked not to use the kitchen dishwasher, to being asked if we could take off our shoes when entering the room we used(as it had been refurbished), accused of stealing hymn books and the list continues and making it difficult for us to remain. May I add, others use the church for functions too. But it seems we have been targeted and scapegoated. It seems odd that this has only occurred since the new pastor and his wife. It has been obvious this has been the case. Shame on those who call themselves Christians. AA is a lifeline for us..
