My name is Neil and I've been living with mental health problems for just under 20 years.

In its condenced form I have survived: Five break-downs, four sections, three hospitals, two arrests and a severe beating by 11 men while I was handcuffed.

What began as three years of stress led to a bipolar disorder. I lost work, two marriages and eventually my home. I'm lucky to be alive to tell my story. My first book covers 12 years of my life in and out the mental health system.

Bi Polar Expedition will make you laugh and cry or at the very least put a lump in your throat. Ultimately it will explain the pain of your dianosis to someone who hasn't got the slightest insight as to what you are going through. It is a little more than just another self-help brouchure. To read a sample and a short review about the author please look up,

www.chipmunkapublishing.com and follow the link to the paperback section. My book is at the bottom of page two.

Key themes: Suicide attemtp - clinical depression - E.C.T. - drud side-effects - the life inside - the inmates - high episodes - mental health humour and more...

Audience: 16 and up male and female. There are some expletives through out the text - but not as many as there could have been!

All psychiatric professionals - GPs - the police -

carers - patients leaving hospital for the first time - relatives of a patient -

Let me know what you think of it, Kind regards, Neil
