"One for the locals"

A review of Murray Arms by Ex regular - Thursday 9th of November 2006

I used to go to the Murray a lot but like the local area it has deteriorated in the last few years. It went from a homely Irish family pub to a comfortable bar with huge leather sofas, then changed hands once too often. The new owners filled it with the kind of cushioned aluminium tubular chairs that you usually find yourself fidgeting on at a conference in a cheap hotel. They also let back in all of the riff raff from the Maiden Lane Estate that had been barred in recent years, driving out the Camden Square regulars and giving it quite a rough feel.

On the plus side it has a good pool table.
